Bar Harbor Fun

Last week, Dara was off for an extended period of time for the Easter holiday. So, we decided to do something fun on Thursday (April 9th). Our original plans fell through at the last moment so we decided to take Quincy to Acadia and Bar Harbor. We gathered up some beach stuff for him and headed on over to Sand Beach.

It was really windy that day at the beach. The waves were taller than I’d seen thus far. Couple the high winds with the temperature not exceedingly warm and we didn’t stay there for very long. We headed into Bar Harbor for lunch and browsing through stores. We ate at Geddy’s – some of you have been there before with us. Kids’ meals come served on a frisbee. Quincy has one frisbee already from there. He had another, but I shredded that with the lawn mower – whoops. After lunch, we went to the grassy area near the waterfront and then played frisbee for quite a while. Dara took a lot of action shots with the camera. Some came out good, but others were blurry. You can see them for yourself.

After we were all frisbeed out, we did a little shopping and enjoyed the fact that there are no people in Bar Harbor at this time of year. Even in May there aren’t a lot of people around either. I’m sure we’ll be heading back to the beach there when the weather is a bit nicer. Plus, we can continue to add to Quincy’s frisbee collection.
