Since it is now June, I have begun production work on Episode III of Quincy’s DVD series. Obviously, I can’t finish it until August is over, but I have started the groundwork for it. It is going to be very similar to Episode II.
One thing I was playing around with was adding a Director’s commentary track to Episode II. I was able to figure it out and managed to have something to say for almost the full 39 minutes. I know, hard to believe, right? I don’t have that version for mass consumption – it was just a sort of, let me see if I can do it kind of thing.
However, with the upcoming release of Episode III this summer, I decided to upload Episode II to Quincy’s site so that people who didn’t get a DVD could watch it – if they want to. The file size is 184MB – so those of you on dial-up are out of luck. The video is a self-contained .EXE file that you download and save on your computer and then just run locally.
You can download the video from this link.
Please let me know if there are any issues or problems. If, for whatever reason, you want a Director’s Commentary version, I can upload it as well (file is 200+MB) or burn a DVD.
I think I started working on these recently because I have been watching the Original Star Wars trilogy in the basement as I bike. I just have Jedi to go. Anyways, enjoy if you download.
Hi!
I just watched episode II and waited breathlessly for Darth Vader to make an appearance.
Think Quinn’s Star Wars name should be Obi-Quin Kenobi; don’t even suggest a variation with Jar Jar!
Could you burn and send me episode II with director’s commentary? I enjoyed episode II just as much as I.
I still watch episode I (like I do other favorite films). Will be happy to pay for the dvd and postage.
Take care!
