Bottle Washer

Ah, the life of a new parent. It is currently 2:08AM and I just finished washing up some bottles. I think it is pretty amazing how the body adapts to the sleep deprivation that is forced up new parents.

Quincy has been good, so far, about not crying for no reason at all. We enjoy his awake time, albeit very limited awake time, and think he does funny stuff already. I crack up when he yawns. I didn’t think that somebody so small could yawn so big.

Dara and I went for a nice long walk yesterday afternoon. The poor woman had been cooped up inside for so long that she forgot what it was like to be outside. We’re hoping to keep up the walks while her mom is here helping us. I hear stirring up yonder – must mean he is almost done eating.

I can’t believe he is one week old in about 4.5 hours!

  1. Guess it is amazing how one can adapt to such an unnormal schedule! 🙂 Way to go! We are so happy for you and know you are making excellent parents! Glad to hear you were able to take a walk and enjoy the outdoors! It’s still a little warm here to be doing much of that. Today the real feel is up to 121 degrees they’re saying. We’re ready for fall! 🙂 Thanks for the posts and pictures!!!!
