Site Changes

The other day, I made some changes to the site. I have moved the house video to the Links section of the sidebar. I also posted some pictures and 2 videos from recent trip to MA & CT (post to follow) – also in the sidebar.

At the top of every page, you will also find a Timeline button. By clicking on that, you can read about the things that Quincy does which don’t necessarily make it into a post. I basically took his baby book that Dara keeps and transcribed it onto the site. Check this area frequently (no e-mails are sent when updated) as it will be constatnly updated. I will try and get our trip post up today or tonight (been almost 2 weeks now). Yikes.

Oh, we had a very nice Thanksgiving, just the 3 of us. Plenty of food, music and merriment. We hope you all had a nice holiday as well.

15 Months Old – November 15, 2006

Here are a couple of candid shots from November 15, 2006 – his 15 month birthday.

This month was a poor crop of pictures for his monthly photo shoot – mainly because Quincy is a perpetual motion toddler. One of his favorite activities is to play in dirty laundry – preferably his own.

He’s all gussied up in these pictures because we were supposed to have dinner with some people in Bangor, but that got cancelled due to a vomitting toddler (not ours). Maybe next month, we’ll have some snow in Maine for his photos!

Lub-dub-lub-dub-swish

I should have posted this yesterday so as to allay an fears, but Quincy’s ticker is fine. He has a benign murmur and safe money is that the cardiologist didn’t even hear it on Monday. I, myself, had a murmur as a child, but grew out of it.

I’ve decided that the hardest part, or paht, of living in Maine is getting used to the heavy accents up heah. Dara has even had to ask people to repeat themselves because she has had a hard time following what they were saying. Fun, fun. To use a friend’s favorite saying, “It’s all good.” Indeed.

Settling In

Wow, it has been quite a while since I have posted anything at all. I assure you, that is not for lack of things going on, but because there has been precisely too many things going on. I’ll try and do a brief overview.

The family has successfully moved to Hampden, ME. We arrived at our new home on Sunday, October 22. A lot has been accomplished the past two weeks (mainly due to the fact that Dara’s mom came with us to Maine and stayed here for 10 days helping to unpack and watch Q-Man) and we should be in good shape before Dara starts her new job on November 27. It has been very nice living close to the modern amentities of daily life. Our house, according to locals, is in the boonies, but that just means we have to drive 15 minutes to get to Bangor – oh the horror. Continue reading “Settling In”
